Time to update my blog! Following events happened in random sequence :p

1. Finally the P106 orientation is over! It was really a tiring week for us, bunch of unreasonably responsible orientation officers, haha! Luckily I met a gang of juniors, who are really damn sweet to orientation officers. Believe me my sweethearts from KISS MY ASS; I will never forget the week we spent together: the busy, tiring, sMelly but yet memorable week; the numerous photos taken in Cinta Ria, secret recipe marble cheese cake, mamak stall with 8 tables linked… You guys are really great, KISS MY ASS rocks~~ ~specially indicate this to all the group members of KISS MY ASS: Chu Siang, Mei Wen, Wei Ken, Jacqueline, Gobi, Laura, Kok Liang, E-Ling, Stephanie, Trisha, Hui Yin and cute Yeu Lou~~ I love you guys ~~

2. I have fallen sick, right after the orientation. It was really a black Tuesday for me: Woke up >4 times during the midnight, due to my serious HEAD PAIN. After waking up, fever started and the whole body started aching. However, I still need to go for the lab section, which at least requires 2 hours. After coming back from the torturing lab, my caring batchmates, Qristine and Ai Bee fetched me to the nearest clinic. Spent RM18 for the $%^&* drugs which don’t really work and came back and slept for the rest of the day. Luckily, my fever subsided on Wednesday and coughing reduced after around 1 week. So now, I would like to express my greatest gratitude to my housemates: Aibee, who cooked porridge for me everyday, gave me her herbal tea which was prepared by her boyfriend’s mother; Lashviny, who always came to my room and see whether I want anything, and specially woke up at 5am in order to wake me up to take my medicine; Pavithira, who went downstair to buy me the “bye-bye fever”; and also Sueli…erm she didn’t really do anything, but yet everytime when she saw me she would just ask me whether I felt better, which is really essential for a patient. Thank you everyone~

3. One breaking good news~~ My brother is getting married!!! Ha, finally can get rid of him already, haha. No lah, seriously, really felt happy for my brother. Last time I was really worried that no girl wants my brother, after all nowadays girls won’t go for guys without higher education. Now, seeing them loving each other so much, my future sister-in-law is also a very nice girl to talk to, everything is settling down, really… very nice! Well, just received my father’s call, that the wedding date is already decided, 13th October 2006, which is actually chosen according to lunar calendar, so my father just asked me how many of my friends will be coming. Hey all my friends who are reading this, if you are interested in coming, just inform me ok? Anyone will be welcomed :)

4. So I think so far that’s it lah. Hope I can update my next blog asap.

The 78th Academy Awards - The best director: ANG LEE ~~~~

Winners
BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN Ang Lee

FILM SYNOPSIS
Two young cowboys in the 1960s develop a strong bond that turns to love over the course of a summer in the Wyoming mountains. As they share herding duties in an isolated setting, Ennis and Jack find themselves drawn into a relationship–made impossible by the time and circumstances in which they live–that will color the rest of their lives.

ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
Wow. I wish I knew how to quit you. First of all, i want to thank two people who don’t even exist. Or I should say, they do exist, because of the imagination of Annie Proulx and the artistry of Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana. Their names are Ennis and Jack. And they taught all of us who made “Brokeback Mountain” so much about not just all the gay men and women whose love is denied by society, but just as important, the greatness of love itself. Thank you. Thank you members of the Academy for this tremendous honor. And to everyone at Focus Features, in particular, David Linde, James Schamus, thank you for your love and support. To Bill Pohlad, Tory Metzger, Ira Schreck , Joe Dapello, many thanks, and a special thanks to David Lee. And thanks to my wife, Jane Lin, and my boys, Han and Mason. I love you. On “Brokeback Mountain,” I felt you with me every day. I just did this movie after my father passed away. More than any other, I made this for him. And finally, to my mother and family, and everybody in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China谢谢大家的关心. Thank you.
